Owner/Operator
I started this travel planning company in 2014 as a way to channel my enthusiasm for logistics and travel into something constructive. To me, travel = conflict resolution. The more people I can empower to travel the world, the better.
I am an IATA-certified travel planner, an avid traveler myself, and a lover of logistics. My career background is in hospitality and destination marketing. I will help take the cumbersome weight of researching and planning off of your shoulders so you can spend your energy on all of the important things (i.e. enjoying the endless wonders of new cultures, delicious food, and exciting experiences).
Louisville is my home base – with my husband Zach and our three cats – but I spent a handful of years traveling, exploring, and learning before landing back in Kentucky. I spent two years in Turkey, first studying Ottoman History and then teaching space sciences to kids from all over the world (strange, I know). After that, I moved to California for a couple of years to earn my Master’s Degree in Religion and Politics with a focus in Islamic Studies.
If I had to choose my favorite parts of travel planning, they would be: food & wine related adventures, the whole country of Turkey, and any opportunity to find a unique place to stay that just feels like total paradise.

I joined My World Travel in June of 2021 and after watching My World Travel grow over the past several years, I am thrilled to join the company! Katie and I have been traveling the world together since we were teens, and I’m excited to help others do the same.
I am a food-lover, and to me, eating is the best way to connect with a culture. If I’m not eating, cooking, or thinking about eating, I’m probably running, reading, or planning my next fly-fishing trip. My husband Charlie and I welcomed our first kiddo in March, and we recently moved from Louisville to Nashville. We have the very best dog named Conroy.
My favorite part of travel planning so far is getting to see the trips come to life after all of the research we put in! I am also currently loving the research on Portugal we’ve been doing – dying to go there.

I joined My World Travel officially in 2024 after helping out with research off and on for a few years and running my own travel planning company for almost 5 years. I have always been interested in travel and learning about other cultures since I watched Anthony Bourdain episodes after school and started traveling right after high school.
I studied Anthropology and Archaeology in school including doing an archaeological dig in Rome. Then I moved to Denver, CO to get my Master’s Degree in Anthropology and focused on the impacts of volunteer tourism and tourism-based development in Guatemala where I did my research. This led to my love of planning sustainable and eco-friendly travel and finding ways to connect travelers with local cultures! I am still based in Denver, CO where I love exploring and hiking in the Rocky Mountains and trying out all the new bakeries around town with my husband, Austin.
It’s tough to choose, but my favorite parts of travel planning are finding beautiful little boutique hotels, hole-in-the-wall restaurants popular with locals, and eco-friendly options in any destination!
